A former
Commonwealth's Attorney (Prosecutor) for 4 years and former
college instructor of criminal law, Mr. Wilson has handled
thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases, from traffic
offenses to first degree murder.
Mr. Wilson has
represented clients in hundreds of personal injury and wrongful
death cases; he is a former Managing Attorney for an office of a
state-wide personal injury law firm. He also handles
divorce, civil litigation, business formation, and wills.
Licensed to
practice law in 1985, Mr. Wilson handled criminal defense and
general practice matters on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and
was appointed Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Accomack
County, and later for Northampton County. He was elected and
served as Commonwealth's Attorney for Northampton County (1987 -
1991). Mr. Wilson also managed the Fredericksburg office of a
state-wide personal injury law firm in 1995. Mr. Wilson has
been in general practice since 1985.
Mr. Wilson
graduated from the University of Virginia in 1975. Before
beginning law school in 1982, Mr. Wilson was a child
abuse/neglect investigator and a juvenile probation officer. He
was also a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical
technician. He graduated from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law
at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg in 1985. He
is licensed to practice law in federal, and state
courts in Virginia and is admitted to practice in the United
States Supreme Court.
Mr. Wilson is a
member of the Virginia State Bar, the Prince William County Bar
Association, and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense
Lawyers and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a
member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
